Dina is originally from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she moved to Dix Hills on Long Island right before the end of her junior year. There are two of her younger siblings and a brother who is older. The modeling profession was her first experience in the field. The model was employed from the age of 9 to 16. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she began studying Sanford Meisner's acting techniques for approximately three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training, along with Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton and Diane Keaton are also among those actors who've received the same type of instruction. The first role she acted in was with Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating to Los Angeles. After landing the lead role in Johnny Mnemonic where she did most of the stunts on her own, she established her self as an actor that is athletic. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to land a regular role on Friends.
